There is something really special about this album. It's refreshing and different in the best of ways. sndtrk's sample selection is varied and eclectic and while the arrangements are minimal, it doesn't sound like it. The drums are abrasive and unpredictable and just a joy to listen to. The overall production is gritty but slick - such a lovely contradiction. This feels like "nu-boom bap", if there was such a thing? Underrated!

Credentials makes me think about growth. not so much physically but mentally. The samples filter in and out through my mind causing me to think. whether good or bad, the thoughts run and cause me to reflect. This whole album has this general feel of reflection but credentials is held higher in my mind because it reminds me that through growth comes change. it's a beautiful thing. Well done Tapelove.
